Airline flights go into Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport (Montreal, YUL). If you are alone and do not have much luggage, you can take a 747 bus (about $3) or the downtown hotel shuttle (about $8) downtown and then take a taxi from there to the New Residence Hotel, Park & Pines (Parc et Pins).
You can also take a taxi directly from the airport to the hotel, about $30 (taxis there are zoned). There is a Bureau de Change at the airport, or money is easily changed at any bank.
If you are driving, parking rates are about $24/day next door to the hotel, but without multiple-entry privileges.
There is limited train service to Montreal, but there is a direct Amtrak route from New York City and points north. From Buffalo, you can take the Amtrak train to Toronto, and the VIA Rail train to Montreal. Central Station, at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, is right downtown and an easy taxi to the hotel.
